SAN JOSE, Antique — The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) will come to the province to conduct the CFO Community Education Program on Human Trafficking and Migration on March 9–12.
Among the subjects of the campaign are migration, intermarriage and other existing government policies and programs directed against illegal recruitment and documentation, fraud and human trafficking.
This inter-agency community education and information campaign seeks to assist prospective migrants in making informed decisions about settlement abroad, and to generate community involvement in migration concerns.
It also aims to raise public awareness on various issues concerning programs against illegal practices.
On March 9, the CFO in coordination with the Philippine Information Agency will hold a press briefing to augment the information campaign through print media, radio and cable television.
