Information officers inducted


SAN JOSE, Antique — The new officers of the Antique Association of Information Officers (Antique AIO) were inducted yesterday in Culasi, Antique.
John John Sumating of the local government of Culasi heads this year’s new set of officers.

Other officers are:

* Ruth Ann dela Cruz, Antique Electric Cooperative – vice president
* Irene Dulduco, Provincial Health Office – secretary
* Marjorie Mamades, LGU Sibalom – assistant secretary
* Glenn Fernando, Department of Trade and Industry – treasurer
* Rummel Jauod, LGU Caluya – assistant treasurer
* Ria May dela Cruz, Antique Police Provincial Office – auditor
* Alberto Bravo, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority – business manager, and
* Junelee Saylo, Provincial Information Office – PIO.

Information officers are partners in communicating development programs to the people, said the manager of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Antique, Margie Gadian.
They play an important role in disseminating information on the policies, programs and activities and achievements of the government, including the local government units, she added.
Antique AIO has been a partner of PIA in development communication for the past two decades and served as a common network for information feedforward, research and feedback mechanism. (PIA/PN)
